Convert web pages to PDF with Ubiquity
Mozilla Labs have just released Ubiquity, an experiment in using command-like calls to interact with web services. Users of the Google ‘command-line’ — if you don’t know what I’m talking about at this point type time in new york into Google — will most likely find this tool pretty useful. By the way, it’s a very early prototype, so if you try it and something isn’t working, at least you know why.
Anyway, enough rambling, the point of this post is to let you know that Ubiquity includes a convert web page to PDF command. Simply type convert to pdf into Ubiquity and the web page that you are currently viewing will be converted to PDF and you’ll be able to download it a few moments later. Voila!
Admittedly, the the whole conversion process isn’t quite as smooth as the web page to PDF functionality in PDF Download, but as I said before, it’s an early prototype and could get a whole lot smoother.
