Gmail as an online storage system
For the past few years I have been using Gmail to handle my work and personal email accounts. But I was starting to wonder if it could possibly handle more than just mail, document storage perhaps? A quick search on my trusty friend Lifehacker revealed the answer: yes, Gmail can indeed be used for document storage. In fact, there is a small ecosystem of extensions surrounding Gmail that make using Gmail as a document management system a real possibility for some. There are, of course, downsides to transferring your documents using third-party extensions that are not officially supported by Google. One of those downsides is security. When uploading/downloading, the files might be transferred on an insecure connection, which makes me wish that there was Google solution for managing the movement of files between your Desktop and the Google cloud. Which brings me to the much rumored GDrive, could it one day be the answer? I certainly hope so.

I kind of like online storages i use them as quick day to day storage for files i change frequently, i mainly use gmail and i use the help of a cool utility like backup2e in order to make it much easier to use gmail as an online storage (http://backup2e.com). for offline storage which i do once a week i use cdroms and HD, however the online storage is used by me daily.
